Scottish Parliament Event - Why17?

On 18th November 2009, the Sands Why17? campaign is being officially launched in Scotland, with an event at the Scottish Parliament.

In the run-up to our event in Scottish Parliament in November, we need to highlight our Why17? campaign messages to Members of the Scottish Parliament (MSPs) and Scottish MPs. And we need to put pressure on MSPs to insist that the Scottish Government makes stillbirth and neonatal death a health priority, and develops a strategy now to save babies’ lives.

  Lobbying your local Member of Scottish Parliament (MSP) and Scottish MP

You can help us by contacting your local MSP and MP, to:

·Raise awareness of the facts surrounding stillbirth and neonatal deaths in Scotland

·Encouraging them to hear more at our event on 18th November at Scottish Parliament

·Highlighting our e-petition to them

·Asking them to become a Sands Parliamentarian

Politicians listen to their constituents. They are more likely to be receptive to the arguments that we will be putting to them if constituents like you have also raised the same issues
